Unilever has announced plans to establish a new Global Innovation Center in New Haven, Connecticut, set to open by spring 2029. This center will serve as a hub for Unilever's research and development efforts in personal care, beauty, and wellbeing, both

Herrish Patel, President of Unilever USA and CEO of Personal Care North America, emphasized the center's role in accelerating innovation by integrating science, technology, and culture. The facility will house various capabilities, including a packaging innovation studio, a fragrance house, and a global center for skincare and cleansing. The center will also feature a polycultural skin and hair center of excellence and a human performance lab. Approximately 300 employees will work at the center, which will replace Unilever's existing R&D facility in Trumbull, Connecticut.
