Oklahoma State University's track and field teams, the Cowboys and Cowgirls, delivered impressive performances at the Big 12 Track and Field Championships held in Arizona. Despite not winning the team titles, several athletes set new records and achieved
personal bests. Steven Schmidt, a senior, set a new program record in the Decathlon with 7,729 points, surpassing the previous record of 7,450 points. Annie Molenhouse became the first Cowgirl to score over 6,000 points in the Heptathlon, finishing with 6,005 points. Will Muirhead won the men's 5,000 meters, setting a new stadium record. Freshman Burklie Burton claimed the Big 12 title in the hammer throw with a personal-best throw of 67.99 meters. Additionally, the women's 4x400 meter relay team set a new school record with a time of 3:32.21.
