What's Happening?
The Lagziel brothers, known for their Meat Man butcher shops and restaurant chain, are set to open a fine-dining steakhouse named Renard on the 49th floor of Tel Aviv's Azrieli Tower. This new venture, requiring a 9 million shekel investment, will replace
the long-standing 2C restaurant. Renard will offer panoramic views and premium meats sourced from the brothers' own processing plant. The Lagziel brothers, Ariel, Omer, and Yotam, have a history in the meat industry, owning several butcher shops and restaurants across Israel. Their new establishment aims to provide a unique dining experience with high-quality meat and a contemporary menu.
Why It's Important?
The opening of Renard represents a significant investment in Tel Aviv's dining scene, highlighting the city's growing reputation as a culinary destination. The Lagziel brothers' decision to expand their business into a high-profile location like the Azrieli Tower underscores the potential for growth in the luxury dining market. This move could attract both local and international diners, boosting tourism and the local economy. Additionally, the use of meat from their own processing plant ensures quality control and supports local agriculture, aligning with trends towards sustainability and farm-to-table dining.
