The FLP1410 drill rig, an automated low-profile single-boom drill rig, has been successfully deployed at a chrome mine in South Africa's Bushveld Complex. Developed by Mine Master in collaboration with Komatsu South Africa, this rig is designed for low-profile mining
environments, which require compact equipment capable of consistent performance. The FLP1410 features a minimum height of 1.4 meters, making it suitable for narrow-reef gold and platinum mines. It includes three levels of automation, starting with a basic monitoring system and advancing to an automatic drilling system (ADS) that allows for autonomous operation. This innovation aims to improve safety and efficiency in challenging mining conditions.
