Darren Woo, a firefighter from Columbia County, served as the caddie for Maria Jose Marin during her victory at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA). Woo, who works at the Savannah River Site Fire Department, completed a 14-hour shift the night
before the final round. Despite the demanding schedule, Woo managed to meet Marin at her hotel early the next morning to assist her at Augusta National. Woo, who also works as a looper at Champions Retreat, met Marin two weeks prior to the tournament. After the event, Woo expressed his relief at having a few days off following the intense schedule.
