What's Happening?
Newsweek, in collaboration with Plant-A Insights, has released its 2026 rankings of America's Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community. The rankings highlight companies excelling in workplace
culture, diversity, and inclusion, based on a comprehensive study involving over 2.7 million company reviews from 179,000 employees. The evaluation considered management diversity ratios, ESG and EEO-1 reports, and online sentiment regarding workplace culture. The study also incorporated data from previous years, making it one of the largest independent employee studies in the U.S. Companies were assessed on over 120 KPIs, including leadership and workplace benefits, with a proprietary scoring model determining the final rankings.
Why It's Important?
The recognition of companies for their workplace culture and inclusion efforts underscores the growing importance of diversity and belonging in the corporate world. As businesses strive to attract and retain talent, fostering an inclusive environment becomes a critical factor in their success. These rankings not only highlight exemplary companies but also set a benchmark for others to follow. For employees, such recognition provides valuable insights into potential employers, helping them make informed career decisions. Additionally, the emphasis on diversity and inclusion can lead to more innovative and productive work environments, benefiting both companies and their employees.
