Swiss traceability specialist Haelixa and UK-based color tech startup Sparxell have secured pre-series A funding, indicating renewed investor confidence in sustainable materials and supply-chain solutions. Sparxell raised $5 million to scale its plant-based color technology, which uses cellulose from wood pulp to create colors without chemical dyes, reducing water use by up to 90%. The funding will help transition from pilot projects to commercial-scale manufacturing by 2026. Haelixa, on the other hand, raised 2 million euros to expand its DNA-based traceability technology, which marks raw materials to verify product origin and authenticity.
