What's Happening?
James Bush has been appointed to lead Marrons' Northern masterplanning and urban design team, following his transition from Stantec. Joining him are Billy Burgess, Matthew Howard, and Georgia Gray, who also moved from Stantec to Marrons. The team will
operate out of Cubo at No1 Spinningfields in Manchester, marking a significant expansion for Marrons in the North West. Bush brings over a decade of experience in masterplanning and urban design, having held senior roles at Pegasus Group, Brown & Co, and PRP. This move is part of Marrons' strategy to enhance its presence in the North, with additional offices in Leeds and Sheffield.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of James Bush and his team is a strategic move by Marrons to strengthen its foothold in the Northern UK market. This expansion is crucial as it allows Marrons to better serve clients in the region, leveraging the team's expertise in delivering residential and mixed-use projects. The growth in Manchester is part of a broader strategy to enhance Marrons' capabilities in urban design and planning, which could lead to more sustainable and high-quality developments. This expansion could also stimulate local economic growth by attracting new projects and investments to the area.
What's Next?
Marrons is expected to continue its growth trajectory in the North, with the Manchester office serving as a hub for future projects. The team, led by Bush, will likely focus on integrating strong design principles with commercial viability to meet client and community needs. As Marrons expands its services, it may also explore new opportunities in architecture, transport planning, and socio-economic advisory, further solidifying its position in the Northern market.
