Marriott International has partnered with Well Smart Group and La Vie Hotels and Resorts to introduce the Le Méridien brand to Lindeman Island in Queensland's Whitsundays. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for La Vie Hotels and Resorts as it is their
first partnership with Marriott International. The resort, which closed in 2012, is undergoing a transformative AU$60 million redevelopment by Well Smart Group and is expected to reopen in late 2027. The property will be reimagined as a contemporary island retreat, offering sophisticated design, elevated hospitality, and immersive guest experiences. The resort will feature 200 premium guest rooms and 9 suites, two restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, extensive event facilities, a resort pool, fitness center, Explore Spa by Le Méridien, tennis courts, Kids Club, and various recreational offerings.
