What's Happening?
Stewart's Shops has introduced a new ice cream flavor, Dake’s Passion, inspired by a $50,000 donation from Saratoga Springs residents Mike and Linda Toohey to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation. The flavor, a vanilla
ice cream with blueberry and raspberry swirls and an oatmeal cinnamon crumble, is available in half-gallon sizes for a limited time. The Tooheys won the opportunity to name the flavor at a charity gala, choosing to honor the Dake family, founders of Stewart's Shops, for their contributions to the community.
Why It's Important?
The launch of Dake’s Passion ice cream underscores the impact of philanthropy in local communities and highlights the role of businesses like Stewart's Shops in supporting charitable causes. By linking a product to a charitable act, Stewart's not only promotes its brand but also reinforces its commitment to community engagement. This initiative can enhance the company's reputation and customer loyalty, as consumers increasingly value corporate social responsibility. The collaboration between the Tooheys and Stewart's also exemplifies how personal contributions can lead to broader community benefits.
