The Boston Red Sox have recalled left-handed pitcher Jake Bennett from Triple-A Worcester to start against the Tampa Bay Rays. Bennett, 25, has previously made two starts for Boston this year, marking his Major League debut, where he allowed five runs
over 10.1 innings and recorded four strikeouts. In his time with Worcester this season, Bennett has achieved a 3-2 record with a 1.60 ERA, nine walks, and 41 strikeouts over 39.1 innings. Originally drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2022, Bennett was acquired by the Red Sox in a trade in December 2025. To accommodate Bennett's recall, the Red Sox have optioned left-handed pitcher Alec Gamboa back to Triple-A Worcester.
