to knowingly buying counterfeit goods. This demographic's inclination towards counterfeit products is facilitated by the ease with which these items can be accessed and promoted through social media. The EUIPO's findings highlight the vulnerability of design-intensive markets, such as fashion, to counterfeiting. The report also notes that European fashion retailers lose over 12 billion euros annually due to counterfeit clothing, with additional losses in jewelry and handbags.
