Denza, a premium new energy vehicle brand under BYD, has officially launched its operations in the Philippines with the introduction of the Denza D9 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid executive MPV. The launch event took place in Manila, marking Denza's entry into
the Philippine market, which is seen as a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for luxury new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the region. The D9 DM-i features a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with dual electric motors and a 40 kWh Blade Battery, offering a combined 401 horsepower and a total driving range of 980 kilometers. The vehicle's interior is equipped with high-end features such as Nappa leather upholstery, zero-gravity seats, and advanced infotainment systems. Denza's entry into the Philippines is part of a broader strategy to expand its presence in Southeast Asia and beyond, with plans to diversify its lineup to meet the increasing demand for high-end electrified transport.
