What's Happening?
The Galveston Wharves has established an endowment at Galveston College to support maritime-related degrees and trades. The initial funding of $40,000 was sourced from the Port of Galveston's bicentennial celebration. This initiative aims to sustain and grow
the maritime economy by providing education and training opportunities for future professionals. The endowment will benefit students pursuing degrees in global logistics, supply chain management, and technical certifications like welding and ship fitting.
