What's Happening?
Strathmore Plus Uranium Corporation has announced successful results from its Spring 2026 exploration drilling program at the Agate Project in Wyoming's Shirley Basin District. The company delineated a new Middle Sand mineralized trend over 2,500 feet
and extended the existing Lower Sand trend by 1,000 feet westward. The drilling program achieved an 81% mineralization hit rate, with 39 out of 48 holes above the cutoff grade. The mineralization is shallow, largely below the water table, and suitable for low-cost in-situ recovery. The company plans to advance permitting with the US Bureau of Land Management and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of mineralization at the Agate Project is significant for Strathmore Plus Uranium Corporation as it enhances the potential for uranium extraction in the region. The successful drilling results and the suitability for in-situ recovery could lead to increased production and profitability for the company. This development also contributes to the broader uranium industry, which is crucial for nuclear energy production. The project’s proximity to other uranium operations in the area further underscores its strategic importance.
What's Next?
Strathmore Plus Uranium Corporation will focus on advancing the permitting process for the Agate Project. The company plans to submit a Plan of Operation to the US Bureau of Land Management and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. Future exploration will target the newly discovered Middle Sand trend to expand its width and length, potentially increasing the project's resource base.
