These trophies, weighing 3 kilograms each, are made using a sandcasting technique that involves creating molds from timber or 3D printed patterns. The process, which takes about a week, includes pouring molten bronze into sand molds, cooling, and then polishing the masks to a mirror finish. The foundry produces approximately 350 masks annually for various BAFTA ceremonies, covering film, television, and gaming industries.
