The Oliver Ames High School boys cross country team has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Division 1C state championship, marking one of the most successful seasons in the program's history. Under the guidance of coaches Kyle Sousa and Troy Kent, the team completed its sixth consecutive undefeated regular season and secured its sixth Davenport title. The Tigers have maintained an impressive regular-season win streak, remaining unbeaten in dual meets since 2019. In the Hockomock League Championship, the team scored 27 points, significantly outperforming the second-place team by over 60 points. Seven athletes from Oliver Ames finished in the top 12, showcasing their dominance in the league. At the MIAA Division 1C Championships, the team overcame
an early deficit to clinch the title with a final score of 60, winning by a narrow margin of 4 points. Landon Sarney, a standout performer, placed second overall and later won the Division 1 race at the MIAA Division 1 Meet of Champions, becoming the top boys runner in Massachusetts.
