What's Happening?
Shasta College Art Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition featuring Japanese woodblock prints, showcasing works from the Edo period to contemporary times. The exhibition aims to highlight the global influence of Japanese art and invites visitors to explore the artistic evolution of printmaking in Japan. Iconic pieces such as Katsushika Hokusai's 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' and works by artists like Reika Iwami are included in the display. The gallery is open to the public from Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. A closing reception is scheduled for April 16, coinciding with Cultural Day at the college.
