Classical IPR has announced the appointment of Tyler Castellanos as their new music host and librarian. Tyler, a classically trained musician with a Doctor of Musical Arts in trumpet performance from Texas
Tech University, has been active in the northern Michigan music scene since 2024. He has performed with local ensembles, taught private lessons, and worked as an ensemble manager at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and Traverse City Area Public Schools. In his new role, Tyler will host the 'Music by Request' program each week, where he looks forward to engaging with listeners through their music requests. Additionally, he will manage the station's music library, overseeing the collection, cataloging, and digitization of music for broadcast. Tyler will also host 'Music at Midday' during the week.
