What's Happening?
Orange has announced the operational status of the ViaTunisia segment of the Medusa Submarine Cable System, linking France to Tunisia. This new digital link enhances connectivity between Europe and North Africa, integrating into Orange's global infrastructure
in Marseille. The project, co-financed by the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility program, aims to improve network resilience and provide high-capacity connectivity. The Medusa system, with 17 landing points across the Mediterranean, is designed to support a capacity of 480 Tbps on 24 fibre pairs.
