What's Happening?
Honey Badger Silver has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Canadian Zinc Corporation from Resource Capital Funds, gaining full ownership of the Prairie Creek Silver Project in the Northwest Territories of Canada. The acquisition involves a total
consideration of C$10 million in cash and C$2 million in shares and warrants. Honey Badger is conducting a brokered private placement to raise C$10 million to fund the cash portion of the acquisition. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.
Why It's Important?
This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Honey Badger Silver, adding a key asset to its portfolio. The Prairie Creek Silver Project, historically zinc-focused, is now being evaluated for its silver potential, which could shift the company's strategy towards prioritizing silver-rich zones. This move could enhance Honey Badger's market position in the silver mining industry, potentially increasing its valuation and attracting more investors. The project hosts a substantial historical resource of silver equivalent, which could lead to future resource growth and optimized mine planning.
