Nine Mile Metals has announced the discovery of significant copper-bearing mineralization at its Wedge Mine in New Brunswick, Canada. The company reported certified assay results from drillhole WD-25-2B,
which revealed 15 meters at 3.17% copper-equivalent, including a section of 6.84 meters at 5.99% copper-equivalent. Vice President of Exploration Gary Lohman stated that the drilling continues to intersect massive copper-bearing mineralization in the western portion of the Wedge site. The company plans to conduct borehole electromagnetic surveys in May 2026 to further explore newly defined volcanic massive sulphide zones. CEO Patrick Cruickshank expressed optimism about the potential of the site, noting the presence of copper, silver, and gold, and the traditional CMS lens model. The company aims to drill from the opposite side of a fault to fully expose the mineralization lens.
