What's Happening?
Elevate Uranium has announced a 31% increase in the mineral resource estimate at its Marenica Uranium Project in Namibia, now totaling 52.8 million pounds of uranium oxide. This update follows infill drilling that added 12.6 million pounds to the resource.
The project is part of Elevate's Namibian portfolio, which now holds 116 million pounds of uranium oxide. The resource expansion is a result of targeted drilling and reanalysis of historical data, enhancing the project's potential as one of the largest undeveloped uranium resources in the Erongo Region.
Why It's Important?
The increase in resource estimates strengthens Elevate Uranium's position in the global uranium market, potentially attracting investment and partnerships. As uranium demand grows for nuclear energy, this expansion could enhance Namibia's role as a key supplier. The development aligns with global efforts to diversify energy sources and reduce carbon emissions. For Elevate, the resource boost supports its strategic growth and could lead to increased market valuation and investor interest.
What's Next?
Elevate Uranium plans to continue drilling to convert inferred resources to indicated status, supporting future financial studies. The company is also processing bulk samples through its pilot plant using proprietary technology, which could lead to further resource upgrades. As development progresses, Elevate may seek additional partnerships or funding to advance the Marenica Project towards production.
