Addie Edwards, a standout softball player from Northeast Alabama Community College, has been named the Alabama Community College Athlete of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA). Edwards, a native of Chatsworth, Georgia, played a pivotal
role in leading her team to both the Alabama Community College Conference championship and the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I national championship. Her exceptional performance included pitching every inning of the national tournament, earning her the title of Most Valuable Player. Edwards' season statistics are impressive, with a 34-0 record and an earned run average of 1.12. She will receive her award at the ASWA’s annual banquet.
