Stockholm-based textile recycling company Syre is expanding its partnership with Target to enhance the use of recycled polyester in apparel and home products. This collaboration, initially announced last June, aims to integrate textile-to-textile recycled polyester into
high-volume categories across Target's business. The initiative is expected to support 70,000 metric tons of recycled polyester over time, with broader product integration planned by 2030. Syre's CEO, Dennis Nobelius, emphasized the importance of this partnership in accelerating the adoption of circular textile solutions. Target's vice president of responsible sourcing, Stephanie Grotta, highlighted the alignment of this initiative with Target's 'Target Forward' strategy, which focuses on a sustainable and inclusive supply chain.
