aims to provide an alternative to dominant American tech companies and enhance AI sovereignty. The combined company will maintain its headquarters in Canada, with offices in Toronto and Berlin. Cohere’s CEO, Aidan Gomez, will continue to lead the company. The merger provides Cohere with greater access to the European market, leveraging Aleph Alpha’s established relationships with German public sector clients. Schwarz Group is investing approximately C$817 million in Cohere as part of a future funding round.
