Mars, Inc. has finalized a significant investment of C$180 million ($131 million) aimed at bolstering its manufacturing capabilities and sustainability efforts across Ontario, Canada. This investment, spread over four years from 2022 to 2026, targets
the company's operations in snacking, pet nutrition, food and nutrition, and Royal Canin. Key upgrades include a C$40 million enhancement in Newmarket for packaging lines of popular chocolate bars, resulting in a 25% increase in production capacity and substantial energy savings. Additionally, Mars invested C$17 million in its Bolton food operations to boost production capacity and reduce energy consumption. The pet nutrition sector received C$86 million for manufacturing upgrades, while Royal Canin operations in Guelph were modernized with a C$39 million investment.
