Matt Sieg, a recent signee with West Virginia University, has been named the National High School Player of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club. Sieg, who played at Fort Cherry High School in Pennsylvania, had an outstanding senior season with 2,259 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns. Known for his versatility, Sieg has played multiple positions including quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and safety. His performance has made him a highly sought-after recruit, initially committing to Penn State before choosing West Virginia. Head coach Rich Rodriguez plans to utilize Sieg's skills on both sides of the ball.
