The International Publishers Association (IPA) has announced the shortlist for its 2026 Innovation in Publishing Award. This award, established in 2022, is presented biennially to recognize companies, groups, and individuals whose innovative work helps
the publishing industry adapt to new challenges. The shortlist includes Abbecedario Inclusivo, a system designed to enhance early literacy through a multisensory and inclusive approach; Ailaysa Technologies, known for its multilingual AI solutions and the Chai Reader platform; Australia Reads, a nonprofit aiming to increase reading through research-driven solutions; Shimmr, which developed an Advertising as a Service platform for book marketing; and Supadu, which created Smart Buy Buttons to streamline the book purchasing process. The winners will be announced at the 35th International Publishers Congress in Kuala Lumpur.
