What's Happening?
Bojangles has installed its first electric vehicle (EV) chargers at a restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, as part of a broader initiative to expand EV charging infrastructure across its locations. The restaurant chain plans to offer a mix of Level 2 and Level 3
fast chargers, developed in partnership with XLR8 America and Energy and Environmental Design Services. This move aligns with the growing trend of businesses investing in EV charging to meet increasing consumer demand and support sustainable transportation.
Why It's Important?
The installation of EV chargers by Bojangles reflects the increasing adoption of electric vehicles and the corresponding need for accessible charging infrastructure. By integrating charging stations at its locations, Bojangles enhances its appeal to EV owners and supports the transition to cleaner transportation. This initiative also highlights the role of private sector investment in expanding the EV charging network, which is crucial for widespread EV adoption. The success of such projects could encourage other businesses to follow suit.
