What's Happening?
APM Terminals has become a 49% minority shareholder and operating partner in the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT) in Vietnam. This partnership follows three years of collaboration in developing the terminal from a greenfield project
to a fully operational facility. HHIT, located in Haiphong City, is the largest deep-water port in North Vietnam, strategically positioned to facilitate trade between Vietnam and European and American markets. The terminal is equipped to handle vessels up to 18,000 TEU and incorporates advanced technologies for safety, automation, and decarbonization.
