What's Happening?
The Adani Group has announced plans to commence work on a Rs 70,000 crore integrated coal gasification and downstream derivatives plant at Linga in Kalmeshwar near Nagpur. Jeet Adani, director of Adani Defence and Aerospace, stated that the project aims to develop advanced chemical manufacturing capabilities and reduce import dependence for critical industrial inputs. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will acquire around 400 acres of land for the project.
