The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has announced the preliminary entry list for the 64th Rolex 24 at Daytona, set to take place next month at the Daytona International Speedway. This endurance
race will mark the opening of the 2026 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. The event will feature a capacity field of 61 cars, with entries spread across four categories: Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Grand Touring Daytona Pro, and Grand Touring Daytona. Notably, the race will include crossover stars from other racing series, such as AJ Allmendinger and Connor Zilisch from NASCAR, and Scott Dixon, Alex Palou, and Kyle Kirkwood from IndyCar. The Porsche Penske Motorsport team, with its No. 7 963 car, returns as the two-time defending GTP overall champion, albeit with a revamped lineup. The Roar Before the Rolex 24 test session is scheduled for January 16-18, followed by qualifying on January 22, and the race itself on January 24-25.
