Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has commenced mass production of seven multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) designed for automotive applications. These capacitors, part of the GCM series, offer the world's highest capacitance for their rated voltage and
size, supporting advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) technologies. The capacitors are available in low and medium voltage ratings, with capacitance levels reaching up to 100 µF. This development addresses the growing demand for higher capacitance and miniaturization in automotive systems, ensuring stable operation and greater design flexibility.
