What's Happening?
Hunnu Air, a Mongolian airline, is planning to expand its fleet with Airbus narrowbody and widebody aircraft to enter the European market. The airline intends to lease two A321LRs and two A330-200s, with deliveries expected from late 2027. These aircraft will
enable Hunnu Air to launch services to Berlin and Budapest. However, potential delivery delays could push the arrival of these aircraft to the first quarter of 2028. Additionally, the airline is considering adding an A330-200 passenger-to-freighter aircraft around 2028. Currently, Hunnu Air operates two Embraer 195-E2s, which will be used for a new service to New Delhi starting in July 2026. The airline has experienced around 40% growth over the past four to five years but faces limitations due to Mongolia's short peak travel season.
