What's Happening?
The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society has announced the final lineup for the 24th Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), featuring 13 new projects. These include seven animated features and six genre works, which will be presented at the event from March 17-19, 2026. Notable projects include Brian Tse's 'The Excreman – On the Road,' Avid Liongoren's 'Zsazsa Zaturnnah,' and Qin Yuqi's suspense thriller 'What My Bones Know.' The forum will showcase these projects alongside previously announced works-in-progress, providing a platform for filmmakers to pitch their projects to industry professionals.
Why It's Important?
The HAF serves as a crucial platform for filmmakers in Asia to secure funding and distribution for their projects. By highlighting a diverse
range of animation and genre films, the forum supports the growth of creative storytelling and innovation in the film industry. This event not only boosts the visibility of Asian filmmakers but also encourages cross-cultural collaborations and the exchange of ideas. The success of these projects at HAF could lead to increased opportunities for filmmakers and contribute to the global film landscape.
