Atlanta rap superstar Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was kidnapped and robbed at a music studio in Dallas. The U.S. Department of Justice announced that eight out of nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, which
included rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30. The event, described as a coordinated 'armed takeover,' involved Pooh Shiesty, real name Lontrell Williams Jr., allegedly pulling out an AK-style pistol and forcing one of the victims to sign a release of a recording contract at gunpoint. Gucci Mane and others were robbed of cash, Rolex watches, and other jewelry. Pooh Shiesty is signed to Gucci Mane's label, 1017 Records.
