Zensho Co. Ltd., a Japanese food company, marked World Food Safety Day in 2026 by organizing a series of staff activities focused on food safety education. This year, the company's Manufacturing Division independently planned and executed the program,
which was themed 'From burden to solutions: safe food everywhere.' The event began with a lecture based on the company's internal guidebook, which adheres to Codex Alimentarius standards. Key topics covered included food safety management systems, Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Participants were divided into six groups to engage in workshop sessions, where they analyzed a hypothetical incident to identify deficiencies in GHPs and HACCP implementation, determine root causes, and discuss corrective measures. The findings were shared among participants, fostering an exchange of ideas. The event concluded with a reflection on the importance of World Food Safety Day and the commitment to providing safe food. A total of 40 participants from various functional areas took part in the activities.
