A new traditional Japanese restaurant named Hassun is set to open at the South Coast Collection (SOCO) in Costa Mesa, California. The restaurant will occupy the space previously held by Shuck Oyster Bar within the OC Mix, a culinary and retail hub. Hassun will offer
a dining experience focused on high-quality sushi and seasonal small plates, embodying the Japanese dining style of 'a little bit of everything.' The restaurant is owned by Satomi Kawamura, who aims to provide an elegant assortment of delicacies in an intimate and authentic atmosphere. Executive chef Susumu Ii, known for his expertise in sushi, will lead the kitchen, bringing over 45 years of experience to the new venture.
