What's Happening?
News 8 and Primetime 585 are set to honor the best athletes in Section V sports for the 2025-26 winter season. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the RochesterFirst streaming app on April 21 at 7 p.m. The event will celebrate top performers
across various sports, including basketball, bowling, cheer, hockey, riflery, Nordic and alpine skiing, swimming, track & field, and wrestling. Additionally, a citizen award and coach of the year will be presented. The pre-show coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m., showcasing the athletes' arrival. For those unable to watch live, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on April 24 at 7 p.m. and again on the following Sunday at noon on WROC.
