Maxi Adams, a senior at Sierra Canyon High School, has been named the Los Angeles Times' Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season. Standing at 6-foot-8, Adams played a pivotal role in leading Sierra Canyon to a 30-1 record, securing
both the Southern Section Open Division championship and the state Open Division title. Despite suffering an injury in the first quarter of the state final, Adams averaged 16 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, achieving 10 double-doubles throughout the season. His ability to adapt and excel alongside other talented players, such as All-American Brandon McCoy, was instrumental in the team's success.
