What's Happening?
Singapore Airlines has announced plans to enhance its in-flight Wi-Fi experience by introducing Starlink's low Earth orbit satellite-based broadband service on select aircraft. Starting in the first quarter of 2027, the service will be available on Airbus
A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-haul, as well as on all Airbus A380 aircraft. This initiative aims to provide passengers with high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity, enabling activities such as video streaming, gaming, and e-commerce. The rollout will be gradual, covering about one-third of the airline's fleet over nearly three years. The service will support up to 1 Gbps per antenna, ensuring seamless connectivity from take-off to landing.
