The Nebraska Cornhuskers softball team, ranked No. 1 by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and ESPN/USA Softball, is set to host the Lincoln Regional in the NCAA Tournament. Despite their top ranking, they enter the tournament as the No. 4 overall
seed. The regional will feature the Louisville Cardinals, Grand Canyon Lopes, and South Dakota Coyotes. Nebraska boasts a 46-6 record, having won both the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. Their 43-6 regular-season record marks the best in program history, and their 23-1 Big Ten play ties the conference record for wins in a season. Historically, the Huskers have a 69-58 record in the NCAA Tournament and have reached the Women’s College World Series seven times.
