Hippocratic AI, a startup based in Palo Alto, California, has introduced two new artificial intelligence tools designed to improve clinical care access and assist bedside nurses. The first tool, AI Front Door, is an omnichannel voice AI agent that helps
patients with tasks such as scheduling appointments and addressing billing issues. It is powered by 31 coordinated large language models and aims to enhance patient engagement. The second tool, Nurse Co-Pilot, is an AI voice assistant for inpatient nurses, offering workflows for admission education, patient education, caregiver engagement, and medication adherence. These tools are part of Hippocratic AI's efforts to shift healthcare from a model of scarcity to one of abundance, providing personal health agents for patients and AI assistants for nurses. The tools operate on the company's Polaris safety architecture, which has been validated by over 7,500 licensed clinicians in the U.S.
