What's Happening?
Sleep Inn, a brand under Choice Hotels International, has introduced its Scenic Dreams prototype, a new design concept focused on wellness and nature-inspired aesthetics. The first four hotels built under this
prototype have opened in Tennessee, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. These hotels feature regionally inspired murals, calming color palettes, and expansive windows for natural light, designed to enhance both productivity and relaxation. The Scenic Dreams design has reportedly led to a RevPAR premium of +1.71 and an increase in the length of stay for properties that have completed most of their upgrades. The new hotels include Sleep Inn & Suites Ashland City, TN, Sleep Inn & Suites Middletown, PA, and upcoming openings in Henderson, NV, and Savannah, TN.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Scenic Dreams prototype by Sleep Inn represents a strategic move to enhance guest experience through design and wellness-focused amenities. This initiative is significant for the hospitality industry as it aligns with growing consumer preferences for wellness and nature-inspired environments. The reported increase in RevPAR and length of stay suggests that these design enhancements could lead to improved financial performance for the brand. This development may influence other hotel chains to adopt similar design philosophies to remain competitive in the market.
What's Next?
With more than 40 Scenic Dreams prototype hotels currently in the pipeline, Sleep Inn is poised to expand this concept further. The success of these initial openings could lead to broader adoption of the design across Choice Hotels' portfolio. As the hospitality industry continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic, innovations like the Scenic Dreams prototype could play a crucial role in attracting guests and boosting occupancy rates.
