What's Happening?
Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has expanded its partnership with Mews, a hospitality operating system, to include regions beyond Europe, such as the Americas and Asia-Pacific (APAC). This collaboration allows over 700 SLH member hotels to access
Mews' property management system (PMS), which supports personalized guest experiences and streamlined operations. Since 2023, Mews has been the preferred PMS partner for SLH in Europe, and the expansion aims to provide more SLH properties with modern and flexible operational tools. The partnership has already shown positive results, with early adopters like Opus XVI in Norway reporting a 67% increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) within a year.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the partnership between SLH and Mews is significant for the hospitality industry, particularly for independent luxury hotels. By leveraging Mews' technology, SLH properties can enhance their operational efficiency and guest experience, which is crucial in a competitive market. This move also highlights the growing importance of technology in hospitality, as hotels seek to differentiate themselves through personalized services and efficient management systems. The partnership's success in Europe, demonstrated by increased RevPAR and average daily rates (ADR), suggests potential financial benefits for SLH properties in the Americas and APAC regions.
What's Next?
As the partnership expands, more SLH properties are expected to adopt Mews' PMS, potentially leading to further improvements in operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. The collaboration may also inspire other hotel groups to seek similar technological partnerships to enhance their offerings. Additionally, the success of this partnership could encourage Mews to explore further expansions and collaborations within the hospitality sector, potentially leading to innovations in property management and guest services.
