John Wildhack, the athletic director at Syracuse University, has announced his retirement effective this summer after a decade of service. Wildhack, a Syracuse alumnus and former ESPN executive, has been
instrumental in overseeing significant improvements in the university's athletic facilities, including the former Carrier Dome and an athletics complex that supports 20 teams and over 600 athletes. Under his leadership, Syracuse achieved its highest Academic Progress Rate scores. Wildhack also represented the Atlantic Coast Conference on the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee.
