What's Happening?
Lodestar Minerals has deployed its exploration team to the Virgin Mountain Heavy Rare Earth Element (HREE) Project in Arizona, USA. The team, led by US Exploration Manager Finn Hunter, will conduct a targeted field review of the project and a generative
review of critical mineral projects across the US. This initiative is part of Lodestar's strategy to evaluate the potential of a 5km structural trend at Virgin Mountain, which remains largely unexplored. The exploration program will include ground investigation, outcrop mapping, structural interpretation, and targeted radiometric assessment. The company aims to accelerate its development activities in response to the growing demand for critical minerals in the US.
Why It's Important?
The mobilization of Lodestar's exploration team to Virgin Mountain is a significant step in addressing the increasing demand for rare earth elements (REEs) in the United States. REEs are essential for various high-tech applications, including electronics, renewable energy, and defense. By focusing on domestic exploration, Lodestar is positioning itself to contribute to the US's critical mineral supply chain, reducing reliance on foreign sources. This move also aligns with broader national interests in securing a stable supply of critical minerals, which are vital for economic and technological advancement.
