The Illini Deca-Jam track and field meet concluded at Demirjian Park, Champaign, Illinois, with several local athletes achieving remarkable success. Urbana native Jackson Gilbert won the 800m run, while Grace Kombetto set the fourth-fastest time in school
history in the same event. Centennial graduate Shawn Lacy claimed victory in the 100m dash for EIU. Additionally, Jane Roosimagi broke a longstanding school record in the javelin throw.
