Aleksandr Nakonechnyi, a passionate sommelier, has joined the food and beverage team at Niyama Private Islands Maldives. Known for his expertise and innovative approach, Nakonechnyi aims to elevate the resort's dining experience with refined wine and champagne
pairings. His career began as a bartender at Kempinski Grand Hotel Gelendzhik on the Black Sea, followed by roles in St. Petersburg and Sonevi Jani in the Maldives. In 2021, he joined Minor Hotels as Wine Guru at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, where he oversaw the world's first underwater wine cellar and led a unique Dom Perignon underwater aging project. At Niyama, Nakonechnyi plans to introduce multisensory dining experiences at various venues, including Edge, Subsix, Tribal, and Nest, each offering distinct wine and sake pairings.
